Dear Laguna Beach Unified Staff,
I want to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all of our staff who united together to help our students, families, and each other as we come to the end of this very unique and challenging school year.
Top of the World's mission is to provide our students with a rigorous 21st century learning environment which focuses on the uniqueness of each child, promoting a growth mindset, a community perspective, and developing the skills needed to become lifelong learners.
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. — The Laguna Beach Unified School District Board of Education voted Tuesday unanimously to approve the appointment of Dr. Elisabeth "Betsy" Kannenberg as Director of Assessment and Accountability. Dr. Kannenberg was selected from a candidate pool of highly qualified applicants.
We invited the Laguna Beach Unified stakeholders to view a panel discussion exploring relationships in our community. Panelists included students, teachers, parents, administrators, and superintendent Dr. Viloria. This event was supported by the middle and high school Challenge Success Teams, the LBHS Challenge Success Club and PTA Coffee Talk. To view this webinar visit: https://youtu.be/4G7LIBY4Quw
Laguna Beach Unified School District staff has designated May 10-14 Staff Appreciation Week to celebrate and thank each of our 363 employees as well as our incredible substitutes.
Enrollment is now open for new students joining the Laguna Beach Unified School District for the 2020-21 academic year. The process has been adapted for online registration in order to comply with social distancing and the ongoing closure of the district's campuses and offices related to COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
LBUSD announced today the decision to extend distance learning until further notice, aligned with Governor Newsom’s expectation that school sites will not reopen this school year. LBUSD will continue to implement distance teaching and learning for the duration of the closure, consistent with the Governor’s expectation.
